How to attach a screw-through glide foot to your sofa

Step-by-step instructions for fitting our sofa glides

• Flip the sofa on its side/back
  So you can access the base frame.
• Position the glide
  • Place it where you want support (usually near corners or edges)
  • Slightly inset from the edge if you want it hidden
• Mark the hole (optional but helpful)
  • Use a pencil through the centre hole
• Pre-drill a small pilot hole (recommended)
  • Especially if the wood is hardwood
  • Prevents splitting
• Drive a screw through the centre hole
  • Use a wood screw (not included)
  • Screw straight through the glide into the frame
• Tighten until snug
• Don’t overtighten, or you might crack the plastic

✔ Typical screw size: 20–30 mm long (depends on frame thickness)
✔ If your sofa base is thin plywood → use shorter screws
